Turns out several of the Chicago Transit Authority board members never use the system. Apparently you need to be part of the problem in order to be part of the solution. My favorite zinger from the Trib’s ‘unbiased’ article:
“I don’t think it is appropriate for me to put a minimum or a maximum on it,” [CTA Chairwoman Carole] Brown said about how often her board members ride the system about which they make critical decisions involving millions of dollars and affecting transit commuters across the Chicago region. (emphasis mine.)
