Fourteen

Filming the krispy kreme doughnut contestMy favorite quote from the evening’s festivities came from Tim at around doughnut number 8:

“The doughnuts have stopped being refreshing.”

I dug deep and managed to best my previous total (12 in an hour) by eating 14 krispy kreme doughnuts in 30 minutes. It wasn’t enough to propel me into the winner’s circle; I would’ve had to beat Ken’s 18, and that wasn’t happening. Toward the end I was merely focused on keeping everything in, which is a worthy endeavor in my book.

Get a play-by-play of the contest on flickr (thanks for documenting the festivities, Jough). YouTube video is pending. Indigestion is ongoing.

I have to say I’m impressed, Myler. I guess my wait 5 minutes at the start so that I only have to hold them in for 25 minutes didn’t pay off.

As for this morning – all I have to say is “god bless coffee” ;-)

I hear that, though I’m still waiting to feel hungry.

This doesn’t seem to me to be the way to train for a triathlon.

I’m pioneering the method. Someone has to be the trailblazer in the realm of athletics.

Think about it this way, Mom – at least he’s learned how to “keep everything in” so when he’s in the middle of his Triathlon he won’t embarrass him self by showing his breakfast (which will hopefully not consist of 14 Krispy Kremes).
