I readily admit that a proper blog should not go untended for a month. Fortunately I have a handful of excuses at the ready:
- We took in a second cat and the Resident Feline is not happy. Which means no one is sleeping fitfully.
- We drove to St. Louis to watch the niece celebrate her first birthday with a ceremonial cupcake to the face.
- I turned 30.
- I gave my notice at work.
Yes, I stuck my finger in the air and decided the winds were favorable for going out on my own. Self-employment as a web designer officially begins next Thursday, and things are off to a swimming start; I’m busy straight into December. While I’m excited to call the shots, I’ll miss working with the whip-smart crew at Duo. I’ll also miss the ping pong table.
Hmm.
I bet if I cleared the kitchen of furniture I could fit a ping pong table in there.
